PROBLEM MANAJEMEN PENGEMBANGAN KOLEKSI DI MUSEUM KERINCI

Abstract

Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana problem yang terjadi dalam manajemen pengembangan koleksi di Museum Kerinci. Problem tersebut terkait dengan minimnya koleksi pada Museum Kerinci, sulitnya pihak pengelola museum untuk mendapatkan koleksi yang menjadi jantung bagi sebuah museum. Museum Kerinci merupakan salah satu museum yang terdapat di Prop. Jambi merupakan sebuah museum negeri yang lokasinya berada di luar ibu kota propinsi Jambi, tepatnya di Kab. Kerinci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Museum Kerinci dibangun untuk mempertahankan nilai dan budaya masyarakat Kerinci, baik berupa Benda Cagar Budaya (BCB) maupun adat dan tradisi. Museum Kerinci sejauh ini mengalami problem seperti sangat minim koleksi disebabkan karena pihak pengelola museum masih kesulitan dalam mencari dan mendapatkan Benda Cagar Budaya (BCB) untuk dijadikan koleksi. Beberapa koleksi yang terdapat di Museum Kerinci masih berupa replika. Selain itu, disebabkan oleh minimnya pengetahuan pengelola tentang koleksi dan manajemen koleksi, sehingga koleksi Museum Kerinci masih jauh dari kata layak.   Kata kunci: Museum, Kerinci, Koleksi Abstract This paper aims to explain how the problems that occur in the management of collection development in the Kerinci Museum. The problem is related to the lack of collections at the Kerinci Museum, the difficulty of the museum manager to get a collection that is the heart of a museum. The Kerinci Museum is one of the museums in Prop. Jambi is a state museum located outside the capital city of Jambi province, precisely in Kab. Kerinci. The results showed that the Kerinci Museum was built to maintain the values ??and culture of the Kerinci community, both in the form of Cultural Heritage Objects (BCB) as well as customs and traditions. Kerinci Museum has so far experienced problems such as very minimal collection because the museum manager is still having difficulty in finding and getting Cultural Heritage Objects (BCB) to be used as collections. Some collections contained in the Kerinci Museum are still in the form of replicas. In addition, due to the lack of knowledge of managers about collection and collection management, so that the collection of the Kerinci Museum is far from feasible.
