The authors of the article analyze the key factors, which determine students’ motives and interest to foreign languages learning, the specific character of teaching foreign languages at non-linguistic educational institutions and the role of motives in the educational process and their value components either. The authors concentrate their attention on the positive and effective experience gained by the Department of foreign languages of Belgorod University of cooperation, economics and law in the sphere of students’ motivation enhancement and its maintenance at the sufficient level. Abstract
