The concept used in this study is the theory of Computer Mediated Communication (CMC), parental communication behavior, the spread of hoaxes, and WhatsApp Messenger. The method used in this research is qualitative and the approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique was sourced from online observations carried out on Whatsapp group chat account activities, researchers will conduct interviews with 3 informants and documentation. Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe how the communication behavior of parents when dealing with the spread of hoaxes in WhatsApp chat groups.
