Impact of IT resources agglomeration to spatial distribution of business service in metropolitan area — Taking Shanghai for example

Abstract

Based on the Internet development the IT plays a decisive role on the reconstruction of the urban system. IT generates a new location factor in space, near IT resources, enterprises could collect and grasp the information, exploit and utilize information timely and accurately. It attempts to analyze the influence mechanism of the spatial agglomeration of IT resources on the distribution of business services, and based on the data of Shanghai business services empirical study of the relationship between them carries out. It finds IT resources agglomeration significantly influence the overall distribution of business service in Shanghai. And business services in spatial unit number are inversely proportional to distance to IT resource agglomeration. IT resource agglomeration will lead to business services overall concentration, but the trend of management & consulting enterprise cluster is largest, intermediary of intermediary & agency, advertising & design class is smallest Advertising & design firms decline fastest along with the increase of distance to IT resource agglomeration center, intermediary of intermediary & agency, and management & consulting the slowest.
