Critical Success Factors in Project Management in the Mining Sector of Peru, 2022

Abstract

The objective was to determine the factors that mining project managers consider to be the ones that influence the management of mining projects, as well as to determine which are those dimensions according to the PMI in which they have been presenting the greatest results The most influential external factors in the success of the management of mining projects in Peru in 2022 were: The proper use of water (4.74) and proper waste management (4.79). while the most influential internal factors in the success of the management of mining projects in Peru in 2022 were: Adequate profit margin (4.73) and access to financing sources (4.78). The most successful processes in the management of mining projects in Peru in 2022 were: Compliance with activities (2.28) and compliance with budgeted costs (2.38).
