The results indicated that the use in this sense is still restricted and instrumental, as well as little applied to academic studies. Abstract

According to research by Cetic of 2016, the mobile phone is the device most used for Internet access in Brazil, which leads us to reflect how this character of mobility and connectivity has affected daily activities and communicational processes in society. The barriers between virtual and real are increasingly dissolving. In this context the present article analyzed the use of the smartphone by students of a Pedagogy course with the objective of identifying the possible educational uses of this artifact and to reflect on its appropriation in formal education.
