Abstract

Based on multi-phase screen method, an atmospheric turbulence transmission link of 1500 meters can be decomposed sufficiently into a series of 150 weak thin turbulence phase screens with the same interval, and the transmission model of orbital angular moment (OAM) mode carried by a Bessel Gaussian beam in atmospheric turbulence was developed and employed to analyze the turbulence induced vortex splitting of OAM modes. OAM modes with different topological charges have different vortex splitting velocity in the atmospheric turbulence, it can be enhanced with the increase in Reynolds number.
