Abstract
The novel Noites de vigília, by the Angolan writer Boaventura Cardoso, presents a narrative that is marked by a construction nourished by both the literary aesthetics and the historical process in which it is inserted. The novel presents a pluralistic aesthetic and its main approaches unfold in so many others, thus allowing negotiations of meaning in a game of polysemy.
