The study sample included n = 277 members of an association for gifted individuals. The research results showed that the sample is highly educated and the participants often work in superior positions or are self-employed. Abstract

In recent years, there has been an increasing public interest in giftedness with a special focus on the vocational situation and corresponding stereotypes of gifted individuals. Existing research results are scarce and heterogeneous. Some studies found an insufficient congruence between gifted individuals and their work environments as well as potential social problems with colleagues and job satisfaction.
