Abstract

The issues of control of a large space tug, consisting of a powerful power unit, an engine and automation unit remote from it, are considered. The blocks are connected by a long beam of about 50 m. Control of such a spacecraft (SC) is complicated by the considerable flexibility and elasticity of the beam and the significant weight of the blocks attached to it. The article discusses the issues of controlling the orientation of such a spacecraft and damping of the elastic oscillations.
