Alternative transport is an actual prerequisite or element of historical development

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the development of alternative modes of transport. The authors consider the problems of developing methodological foundations for substantiating the use of alternative types of public transport and their integration into the existing infrastructure of the city, for the development of practical recommendations for improving the legal and other types of state regulation in public transport. The issues of cultural and historical development of public transport are touched upon, as well as the need to close the issue of terminology and the appropriateness of using the term alternative transport in the scientific literature.
