Abstract

A low profile filtenna with a very simple structure is designed in this paper. This antenna consists of three rectangular patches printed on a single layer, fed by a probe. It can realized filtering characteristic without extra filtering circuit through carefully designing the patches and the position of the probe. To verify the design, the proposed antenna is simulated. According to the simulated electric performance and radiation performance, an operating bandwidth of 8%, ranging from 1.8 - 1.95 GHz is acquired.
