Furthermore, an envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) did not exceed 0.2 and isolation was more than 12 dB, demonstrating good MIMO performance. The presented antenna has a planar, low profile structure with compact size of 100 × 50 mm2. The proposed design is validated by simulations, displaying good results. Abstract

A novel frequency agile MIMO patch antenna based on a reconfigurable feedline is presented. The proposed antenna structure has two hexagonal-shaped patch antenna elements.
