Abstract

On the basis of specifying the risk assessment processes for physical hazards of consumer products, this paper introduces the uncertainty theory, analyzes the uncertain factors of components in the consumer product usage scenarios, identifies the main physical hazards of consumer products, puts forward the principles of and methods for establishing a system of risk assessment indicators of consumer product safety, constructs the risk assessment model of consumer product safety, and establishes the rules for determining the risk level of consumer products. It refines, in an innovative manner, the probability of occurrence into the probability of usage scenario occurrence easily accessible and the likelihood of an injury occurring under a given scenario.
