Abstract
In the context of making shipping more environ-mentally friendly this paper provides a first concept for setting up a cost-effective overall system letting various subsystems and devices cooperate automatically. In the implementation a Flettner rotor or Torqeedo motor gets controlled by a Raspberry Pi 4B sending and receiving data via MQTT.
