A New Concept Of PACS - Hybrid PACS In IMACS

Abstract

PACS is a system designed mainly for an intra -hospital digital image management. In addition, with the evolution of PACS, Local Area Medical Information Control System (LAMICS) will be required in pursuit of an improved efficiency of the diagnosis through an image transmission. Also Personal Health Data Recording System (PHDRS). which will be given an off-line connection of the above -mentioned systems is now under evaluation. A global integration of these systems will represent "Imaq and Communication System in Patient Care", which is exactly, I think, the theme of this international conference. We are designing, for further study, a Hybrid PACS which is a combined database of Analogue information and Digital information and which will support an organic operation of the IMAC system.
