Abstract
The paper presents a new version of the modified nodal method for dynamic analysis of the linear and/or nonlinear large-scale analog circuits. The method is based on the semistate equations for circuit description. In essence the semistate encompasses those variables which are most convenient for a first description of a circuit, using KCL, KVL, and the constitutive equations of the circuit elements. In the paper, it is also presented a very simple method for the symbolic generation of the transfer function matrix. The algorithm to formulate and to solve the dynamic modified-nodal equations was implemented in a computer program, which constitutes a useful tool for symbolic analysis of a very large class of analog circuits.
