Abstract

We achieved high conversion efficiency in quasi-phase-matched (QPM) sum frequency generation (SFG) of compact CW fiber lasers in periodically-poled 8mol% MgO-doped congruent LiTaO3 (MCLT) which technology of the crystal is still developing and periodically-poled 5mol% MgO-doped congruent LiNbO3 (MCLN) to obtain a tunable and visible light source. The conversion efficiency of SFG is over 10% in a MCLT chip and over 50% in a MCLN chip.
