Abstract

1.1. In ancient Greek, ‘terminative’ verbs, i. e. verbs meaning ‘stop’, ‘finish’, ‘break off’, ‘cease’, frequently occur in combination with a noun in the genitive case, denoting the process, event or state which comes to end (henceforth ProcN).
