Abstract
This article aims at investigating the unfolding results that the Brazilian educational Counter Reformation has had in the layout of the Basic education teaching staff work. The analysis was based on results of researches about the issue and on data about the working routine of female teachers of Portuguese, taking the flexible capitalism discussed by Sennett (2009) into account. The results of researches presented in the 10th International Seminar of Estrado Chain which happened in 2014 in Brazil whose theme was: The right to education, educational politics and the teaching staff work in Latin America – experiences and proposals were catalogued and analyzed as methodological procedures. Such results have embraced the specificities about the teaching work staff reinforcing the criticism towards the managerialism in education in the context of the Brazilian educational Counter Reformation context. In addition, questionnaires were completed by female teachers of Portuguese from a specific country in Minas Gerais state aiming at identifying their working routines. As a result, problems about the specificities of teachers work and the process of intensification to which they have been subordinated were gathered. The data shows that the average weekly working hours of interviewed teachers were more than the hired ones what leads to intensification indicators and consequently less time to be devoted to other personal activities in order to perform the wide range of professional activities, according to Sennett (2009).
