An additional equalizer is usually utilized to cope with the residual ISI, such as decision feedback equalizers (DFE). In this paper, we propose an effective approach to eliminate the residual ISI of equalization where the FDE is combined with M-ary bi-orthogonal keying (MBOK), which converts the UWB channel to a channel similar to AWGN and then achieves very significant gains. Abstract
There are considerable residual inter-symbol interferences (ISI) after using frequency domain equalization (FDE) in ultra wideband (UWB) channels which have severe multipath delay spreads.
