Abstract
Voice communication is often afflicted by various forms of losses, such as packet loss over the communication channel. This study focuses on examining a few speech codec that usually used in connectionless communication such as G.711, G.722, G.729, AMR-NB, and AMR-WB for voice over LTE application and the impact of random and burst packet loss on voice communication against the codec using evalvid and NS-3 simulator.
