Abstract
The article presents the results of a study aimed at studying the features of the motivational and
sphere of specialists in the field of information technology. Studied the motivational orientation of the
individual, relevance the needs of workers, motives of professional work. Analysis of the results revealed
several patterns. Dominant motives for students and specialists are creative activity, recognition by people and self-actualization. Found significant differences in the motivational structure of professionals at
different stages of professional development.
