The principle of obvious in the teaching the world around us

Abstract

Teachers' attention and interest is focused on how to make teaching interesting and obvious, especially when it comes to the younger school age. Of all the didactic principles, the principle of obviousness has the longest tradition in pedagogy, because from the earliest times the emphasis was on observing and presenting subjects and phenomena in teaching. Given the complex structure of educational content, the teaching of the world around us provides a wide opportunity for the use of the obvious. The aim of this paper is to point out the importance and application of the principle of obviousness in the teaching of the world around us. The given research, where the survey questionnaire was used as an instrument, included 31 samples of respondents - primary school teachers, on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia. The results show a high prevalence of the application of the principle of obviousness, among teachers, as well as their positive attitude when it comes to this principle. The prevailing opinion among all teachers is that this principle is interesting and useful for students in their work, where they adopt teaching contents in an easier and faster way, and better memory, which is also long-term.
