Abstract

This paper presents two different simple topologies to interface PV panel and battery packs according to energy needs and family income for single-family homes. The target of this paper is to provide reliable energy solutions for people living in areas without electricity in Africa and South Asia. A decentralized model has been applied to the proposed system architecture to allow the plug & play functionality and power sharing without communication, and therefore, enhance the system flexibility. A simulation study was carried out to validate the operation of proposed topologies.
