Abstract

A novel method for improving properties of absorber materials usable on a microstrip transmission line is proposed. Improvement is obtained by using a metallic sheets and changing a distribution of electric field along the absorber. Suitability of these absorbers as sliding load elements is discussed as well. Experimental verification of proposed modification has been done and comparison of measured data to the simulated results is discussed.
