In this paper a hybrid technique combining finite-difference frequency-domain technique with method of moments is presented. The technique is designed for efficient analysis of arbitrary curved thin-wire antennas radiating in vicinity of dielectric scatterers. FDFD-MoM technique is successively employed for numerical analysis of dipole and helical antennas in dielectric cover.

In this paper, we present a novel method for segmenting ore images specifically for estimating the size distribution of ore material on conveyer belt. The segmentation system uses the mean shift and watershed algorithm. The mean shift algorithm is used to identify pixel clusters of particular modes of the probability density function of the image data. The pixel clusters are then used to generate markers for the watershed transform and shadow areas in ore image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is not only faster than the standard methods but also more robust.

The paper deals with a unit of broadband transmitting antenna used for digital TV broadcasting. The unit of antenna consists of four vertically oriented dipoles. The improvement of antennas parameter is achieved by replacing cylindrical dipoles by bowtie type. The feeding network of antennas unit is discussed here. Finally, unit of simulated antenna in CST Microwave Studio is demonstrated and obtained results are presented.

Many proposed demosaicing algorithms used in single chip cameras are perceptually optimized only for multimedia imaging system where the QoE is used as criteria of quality. Concerning applied imaging system (e.g. security) the optimization criteria are totally different (e.g. character identification) and therefore the well rated algorithms may not be suitable for security. Four state-of-art interpolation techniques have been applied on the synthetic Snellen eye chart image test in order to evaluate the performance of character reconstruction. After that the image quality has been evaluated by the group of observers and two different objective quality metrics (PSNR, SSIM) have been calculated for comparison.

This paper describes method for speed improvement of electromagnetic near-field scanning. Using the technique described in this paper both high spatial resolution and high speed of measurement can be achieved. Some applications of near-field scanning are presented and discussed. Near-field scan technique is used for measurement of magnetic field distribution above a passive structure and for analysis of electromagnetic emission of integrated circuit operating in different regimes. Results show good reliability of presented method and its effectiveness for investigation of electromagnetic interference in integrated structures.

This paper deals with real time video watermarking using Singular value decomposition (SVD). The last part of the paper describes experiments conducted on the proposed watermark embedding method. The goal of these experiments was to test the robustness of the method presented in the paper against several watermarking attacks.

This paper deals with a design of Fresnel reflectors for developing a kidney and bladder cancer detection system. A mathematical base for proper substrate irradiation by the reflectors is described, we have designed three reflectors for further testing and simulated selected parameters. The included simulations are focused on dependency of a main lobe gain on irradiation angle, verifying the position of the focus point and influence of number of Fresnel zones on gain.

In this paper, we present a novel steganographic method for embedding of secret data in still grayscale image. In order to provide large capacity of the secret data while maintaining good visual quality of stego-image, the embedding process is performed in transform domain of Discrete Wavelet transform (DWT) by modifying of transform coefficients in an appropriate manner. In addition, the proposed method do not require original image for successful extraction of the secret information. The experimental results show that the proposed method provides good capacity and excellent image quality.

Application of OpenGL functions for fast and flexible generation of material matrix for finite difference mesh is presented. Application of graphical functions makes tessellation of complex objects efficient and flexible. Additionally, since most of computations is performed using a specialized hardware, presented technique is very fast. Two examples of tessellation of complex structures, including human head, are presented.

In this paper, decision-feedback differential detection with correction of M-ary differential phase shift keying (MDPSK) signals is proposed. Proposed scheme is compared with classic decision feedback differential detection (DF-DD) receiver. Results show that the proposed receiver has better performances in the presence of frequency offset, in a very wide range of frequency offsets. The proposed receiver is not much more complex than the ordinary DF-DD receiver since only one more complex multiplication was introduced.
