Abstract
The application of IEC 61850, trends to develop digital substations enable to formulate innovative approaches of energy facilities protection, automation and control. Therefore, the development of protection and substation automation requires new technological solutions in accordance with safety, fast response, selectivity and sensitivity criteria, that simplify the process of new standards implementation and reduce the capital and operating costs to develop the modern complex of protection and substation automation.
