Abstract

Various aspects of the installation of stationary lead-acid batteries are examined, including performance improvement, the gassing situation, electrolyte effects, heat generation, and the relationship between floor-space demands and power demand. It is concluded that the safety rules against electric shock and impacts of short circuits require special design methods.
