We included randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that appraised the effect of CMT in the growth and development of children. The risk of bias was evaluated from Cochrane Risk of Bias tool. \nResults : Three appropriate RCTs were included and analyzed. Height and weight of the CMT group was statistically higher compared to the control group. \nConclusions : CMT could be effective for growth and development of children. However, evidence were limited due to a small number of studies, lack of well-designed RCT and regional bias. Abstract
Objectives : To systematically review the effect of chuna manual therapy (CMT) on growth and development of children.
Methods : We performed a literature search using eight electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Chinese Academic Journals, Research Information Sharing Service, Koreanstudies Information Service System and Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System) up to the end of April 2023. 目的:系统评价推拿疗法对儿童生长发育的影响。方法:采用截至2023年4月底的PubMed、Embase、Cochrane Library、Chinese Academic Journals、Research Information Sharing Service、Koreanstudies Information Service System和Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System 8个电子数据库进行文献检索。我们纳入了评估CMT对儿童生长发育影响的随机对照试验(RCTs)。通过Cochrane风险偏倚工具评估偏倚风险。结果:纳入3个合适的随机对照试验进行分析。与对照组相比,CMT组的身高和体重均有统计学差异。结论:CMT对儿童的生长发育是有效的。然而,由于研究数量少,缺乏设计良好的RCT和区域偏倚,证据有限。为了获得更有力的证据,需要进一步精心设计的研究。
