In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer

Abstract

In 1989, the Ministry of Health appointed a Professional Committee to evaluate all of the IVF units licensed in Israel. The results of this survey were the first to encompass the entire in vitro fertilization (IVF) program in Israel since its establishment (1,2). Since then, the Committee has continued to collect data regarding the outcome of IVF and in assessing the needs of advanced reproductive technology procedures in Isr'ael. The present survey encompassing the 17 IVF programs active in 1990 was expanded to include details on micromanipulation, as well as on the effect of patients' age on the rates
