Nafarroako Ezker Iraultzailearen historia, 1970-1979

Abstract

The far-left parties were the first political force of the opposition in Navarre against Franco's dictatorship, at the end of which the new born system, based in the Constitution of 1978, was rejected by a relevant part of the Navarrese society. However, in spite of the evident importance they had, far-left parties almost disappeared after the dictatorship came to an end, and in the early 21st century their trace has gone unnoticed. The objectives of this historical research are to summarize the history of this political movement and to prove the signification they had in the rejection of the constitutional consensus, as well as to reflex about the “Basque Conflict” during these years.
