Abstract

In this paper, dual-polarized reflectarray antenna using an interdigitated surface is investigated. It provides high pixel resolution with an acceptable amount of phases states. The benefits and challenges due to the pixel miniaturization are investigated. It has been proposed that the histogram of the phase delay arrangement might be useful to be provided for detecting more priority phase states. Also, pixel clustering is utilized to increase the number of phase states leading to better performance of the antenna.
