Abstract

We propose a new algorithm using a non-linear programming technique for solving the optimal power flows (OPF) and a novel transient energy margin (TEM) with single-shot automatic line reclosing (ALR) for assessing the transient stability (TS) concerning the fault type of symmetrical short-circuit causing the transient power structure changes in the multi-machine hydrothermal power system.
