Abstract

A mathematical model of the process of the microwave heat treatment of the ground with the use of a mobile radiating system in the form of a horn antenna is considered. The model is based on the coupled equations of electrodynamics and heat conduction. Numerical simulation was carried out using the finite element method. Based on the results of 3D modeling using the COMSOL Multiphysics software, optimal spatial orientation of the antenna is chosen, the distributions of the electromagnetic and temperature fields were constructed, the optimum parameters of the microwave heating process (moving antenna speed, microwave power) were obtained.
