Vaginal Leiomyosarcoma usually originates from the smooth muscle tissue of the posterior vaginal wall, but they may also develop from smooth muscle cells in tissues near the vagina. Abstract
Primary malignant tumors of the vagina are extremely rare, accounting for only about 2% of all gynecologic malignancies.
