India is ranked at 16 th position with its global publication share of only 2.33%. India averaged citation impact of 7.76 citations per paper and international collaborative publication share of 14.44% during 2007-16. Medicine contributed the largest publication share (70.5% share). The top 10 most productive organizations and authors contributed 27.5% and 18.06% share to India’s publication output and 60.64% and 26.86% share to India’s citation output during 2007-16.
