The Development and Practice of Course Building Information Modeling Based on ADDIE Model

Abstract

Offering the course Building Information Modeling for architectural undergraduates is both necessary and urgent based on the rapid development of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as well as the building requirement of new engineering. On the basis of the ADDIE model design vision, this paper narrates the development process, building thought, implementation process, building outcome of the new course and direction that needs to be further improved. In accordance with the requirement of ability of employment with a focus on course goals, this paper designs the teaching content and teaching process, builds the course materials based on the Outcome Based Education (OBE) vision and Conceive, Design, Implement, Operation (CDIO) model so as to form muti-dimensional tracking assessment system. The two-term teaching practical effect proves that the development thought based on Building Information Modelling is correct and the implementation plan is feasible, which can provide certain references for new courses of Building Information Modelling.
