Abstract
Cluster systems have become the most commonly deployed high performance computing systems throughout the world. We rely on commodity hardware components to deliver high performance that is cost-effective; but we depend upon the innovation and support of open science projects and the dedication and commitment of the cluster community to deliver reliable, optimal and scalable software stacks for cluster computing. Clusters have become the workhorse within science, engineering and cloud computing.
