Abstract
This paper reviews advances in the development of WDM LAN standards. Focusing on standards for aerospace applications, it provides a synopsis of the scope, charter and recent activities of the WDM LAN working group of the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), in the SAE's Fiber Optics and Applied Photonics committee.
