Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) fed fractal antenna is to be designed with the design parameters of the size is 30 × 28 × 1.6 mm<sup>3</sup> and the substrate is FR<inf>4</inf> ε<inf>r</inf>=4.4 and tanδ= 0.002. The proposed antenna resonates at 3.1 to 10.8 GHz with a return loss of above −10 dB. The antenna has a better gain of 7 dBi at the UWB band frequency. The antenna is used for variety of applications like defence, secure communication and biomedical applications. Abstract
