Abstract

In this paper, complex function method and conformal mapping technique are used to present the closed-form solution for scattering of SH wave induced by a circular canyon in a density of radial inhomogeneous right-angle space. By normalizing the Helmholtz equation, the expressions of wave fields and corresponding stresses are deduced. Applying the boundary condition at the canyon, the undetermined coefficients in scattering waves are solved, the entire displacement in the half space is obtained subsequently.
