Abstract
There is a growing premise among educational policy makers and funding entities that the inclusion of e-learning strategies into a traditionally delivered course in an educational setting provides a solution to some barriers of learning which can affect learning effectiveness and achievement at an individual, institutional and national level. In fact, the success of an e-learning implementation process is a complex one. Often this process is seen as a dynamic process, relating to both organizational change and educational innovation. The paper utilizes an IS management profile, a derived strategic alignment model (SAM), to investigate the impact of all four alignment domains on the dynamic changes in IS management in a university in Taiwan. By using this as a checklist, the process of e-learning implementation can be supported and stimulated in a more systematic way.
