Abstract
One of the approaches used by teachers to teach a new language consists of didactic games, through their use the students tend to show up more interested in learning a foreign language (LE). In fact, this approach is not limited to its playful component, once it has many advantages. Actually, I would emphasize the fact that it is extremely motivating, which captures the students' attention and puts into practice the knowledge acquired, and make possible to consolidate the learning of LE. It is up to the teacher to give the right importance to this issue, once he/ she becomes responsible for the children´s learning process, and should promote their complete development, not only cognitive, but also social and emotional. Teacher can find a strong partner on the game, since it helps to overcome children´s obstacles in the learning process, besides helping the child to create a better relation with all that surrounds him/ her, improve self-esteem and confidence. For the variety of stimulus that games can offer, as well as the cheerful atmosphere they can create, and also for the presence of rules, games should be part of school’s day life across all areas of knowledge. Using games student develops creativity, imagination, thought ability, intelligence and their consciousness that they don’t grow up alone, they realize how to respect and get on with others. This final report aims to point out how the use of didactic games can help in the process of learning and consolidating a foreign language.
