Abstract

Due to their metallic structure, it is not unreasonable to presume that the compartments of a naval vessel are appreciably reverberant when injected with an electromagnetic signal of reasonable wavelength. This assumption was put to the test when a series of measurements of the insertion loss were made in twelve ship compartments onboard a United States Naval vessel.
