Since pupil segmentation is one of the important tasks in iris localization procedure, in this paper, a technique to isolate the pupil boundary is discussed. We have proposed a new thresholding method based on the eye color map. This proposed method is experimentally applied to the CASIA database iris images and 100% accuracy is attained.
