Abstract

A small size microstrip stacked patch antenna along with a slot in ground plane, fed through microstrip inset feeding for X band applications is being proposed in this paper. Two substrates, FR4 and Rogers RT/duroid 5880 with a dielectric constant of 4.4 and 2.2 respectively with a gap of 1.5mm are introduced. Overall substrate dimension is 35mm × 30mm × 1.6mm.
