Abstract
In this paper we present a new fast chaos-based algorithm for generating random permutations, along with it usage in image scrambling. The proposed algorithm has a hybrid character, given by the use of random values generated by two chaotic maps with deterministic ones. The performed analysis proves that the proposed algorithm it's fast and secure, being suitable for real-time image scrambling.
