Abstract
The road-cuts and other new excavation works provide an excellent opportunity for upgrading the geological maps in Poland. Such opportunity should not be missed. Updating The Detailed Geological Map of Poland at the scale of 1:50 000 should be the priority. Ephemeral nature of the freshly cut outcrops makes this research rather urgent.
