In the countries with a stable tourism industry, the state's role and participation\nin the sector's regulation are active. Abstract
The primary purpose of the paper is to comprehensively analyze the development of
ways and opportunities for the international tourism industry in Armenia. In this context,
through analyzing historical series, and using the method of comparative analysis, the
author presents the tourism processes in Armenia, combining them with state regulation
necessity of the sphere. As a result, the author implies that the effectiveness of
international tourism and the country's competitiveness (in this case, Armenia) hugely
